Your road trip starts early in the morning. Our driver will meet you directly at your Delhi hotel, home, or the airport terminal. After settling into your private vehicle, you will meet a local guide to see the major monuments of the capital. The morning tour includes a visit to the ancient stone tower of Qutub Minar, followed by a drive through the central avenue past India Gate and the old walls of the Red Fort.

By 1:00 PM, you will leave the capital behind and head out on a 3.5-hour drive via the Yamuna Expressway toward Agra.

When you arrive around 4:00 PM, you will check into your hotel and head straight out with an expert Agra guide to see the Taj Mahal during the sunset hours. Watching the light change on the white marble is the absolute highlight of the day. Afterward, you can enjoy a classic Mughlai dinner. If you want to see local arts, your guide can show you the traditional markets nearby that specialize in handmade marble inlay work and leather products.

Day two begins at 5:00 AM. We check out early with a packed breakfast to beat the heavy daytime traffic, starting a 4-hour drive into the desert state of Rajasthan.

Your destination is the Pink City (Jaipur). As soon as you arrive, a local Jaipur guide will take you straight up to the hilltop Amber Fort, where you can explore the ancient royal courtyards and detailed mirror rooms built by the Rajput kings.

In the afternoon, you will head into the city center to photograph the unique pink windows of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and see the historical sundials at the Jantar Mantar observatory. Before leaving, you will have time to walk through the colorful local markets to see traditional jewelry and crafts.

By late afternoon, you will start the 4.5-hour return drive back to Delhi. The driver will drop you off safely at your preferred location, the railway station, or the airport, ending your quick 48-hour journey.
